About Us

Ely Kennels was founded in 2017 and is a family owned and operated business in Mt. Airy, NC. Owner Bill Ely, along with his wife, Brenda and daughter, Kim work hard to ensure your satisfaction as you select your new family member!  Our dogs are well taken care of.  They are fed and watered twice daily and kennels are cleaned daily as well.  We have an exercise lot for playtime. Specializing in Labrador Retrievers, German Shepherds, and Golden Retrievers is our focus.  Our sires and dams are on site for you to meet. All dogs are AKC registered and you will receive the appropriate paperwork to register your new pup. Each will have initial vaccinationss to date and deworming before they go to their forever home!

Policies and Procedures

 We offer full registrations with breeding rights. To keep prices low, we do not offer pedigrees, though you may purchase those through AKC for $34.  All pups are weaned from dams at 6 weeks of age. We use Purina Puppy Chow Tender and Crunchy beef.  We advise you to continue with that brand to avoid tummy troubles or slowly introduce a new brand by mixing the two for a few days.

We guarantee our pups only while they are in our care. Deposits of $300 for Labs, German Shepherds and Golden Retrievers will be accepted to hold a puppy till 8 weeks of age. You may make an appointment to come to select your puppy anytime after six weeks of age with a deposit.

We will not hold a puppy longer than 8 weeks of age unless it is paid for in full. If you have special circumstances and need the puppy held longer than 8 weeks, you will be charged a boarding fee of $25 a week.

We accept cash and money orders.
